Architectural Technologist

Role Description:

Wynand Wilsenach Architects seeks a full-time, on-site Junior Architect in Cape Town. This role involves architectural drawings, municipal and construction documentation, and support in building contract administration. The successful candidate will collaborate with our experienced team on a variety of exciting and challenging projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare architectural, municipal, and construction drawings.

  • Develop project documentation, including reports and presentations.

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers on design solutions.

  • Conduct site visits, perform analyses, and maintain records.

  • Support the team in other architectural duties as required and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 4 years of post-graduation working experience in residential architecture, including construction contract administration.

  • SACAP recognised University degree in Architecture (SACAP registration advantageous).

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other architectural software.

  • Strong knowledge of architectural and construction drawing techniques.

  • Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • RSA residency and legal work eligibility in South Africa.
